New Rough Cuts Available

Filed under: ASP.NET AJAX — Joel Rumerman @ 7:32 am

The rough cuts of my book, Advanced ASP.NET AJAX Server Controls has been updated. You can take a look at it here.

Rough cuts is a great way to get a good look at the chapters before they’re available in print, which will be sometime in June or July.

  1. I was googling myself (so vain!) and noticed you used the stack trace code in your book (found it on safari). Thanks for giving a link back to my site.🙂

Looks like it’s going to be a great book, I’ll have to grab a copy when it’s out. My favourite book on the topic is still Nikhil Kothari’s book. It’ll be nice to see another book that covers all the stuff that’s happened since ASP.NET 1.1.

  2. Who doesn’t Google themselves these days!!! I feel like I’m doing it more and more!

The Stack Trace code you wrote is one of the most useful pieces of code that I’ve come across in the past year. Using it alongside my error handling code has helped us discover tons of client errors that we never would have found without it.

I was really glad that I was able to incorporate it into the book and give you a good shout out.

Thanks for the kind words about the book. It’s a bit nerve racking as we’re coming so close to publication and we’re starting to see things in PDF… so final! When it comes out and you happen to read it, leave a comment or something and let me know what you think. Especially if there’s anything you think would add value to it (hint, hint).
